    Awesome Interfaith Ketubah: Fairytale Inspired

    by admin

We have to spill a little secret: part of our passion for Ketubahs comes from the fact that we are die hard romantics. Whether it’s one of the classic novels of our time or a good romantic movie — we’re suckers for a love story with a happy ending! So of course, some of our FAVORITE Ketubahs are those with a good romantic feel to it. We recently launched a new Ketubah that captures that look — the moment when you know you’ve found the one. Take a look here:

    Interfaith Wedding Ceremony Ideas

    by admin
    No comments yet

When planning your Interfaith Wedding by far the most intimate (and perhaps tricky!), will be planning your ceremony. Do you use one officiant or two? Do you blend two religious traditions or avoid it altogether? How do you pick what to include in the ceremony, without offending anyone or leaving something out? These can be really difficult, but SUPER important questions to ask your partner. But before anything, we truly believe that it’s most important to put together a ceremony that feels perfect and representative of you and your partner.

We found a great list of symbolically simple, but still beautiful traditions to use in Interfaith ceremonies to help any Interfaith couples out there! Although all of these aren’t necessarily attached to any particular religion, they are great ideas to run with — whether you want to add something to make it your own or just keep it how it is. We listed our absolute FAVORITES down below, but you can check out the whole list here!

    • Candle Flames – In this symbolic ceremony, each individual lights a candle. The lights of the two candles are later joined in the flame of a larger candle in the middle, symbolizing their union. The act of joining the two individual candles means forming a union while preserving individuality since the couple exchanges the candles in the process. This traditional act can be performed with just the couple or having their family members present. It is often performed in interfaith ceremonies although it is widely recognized as a part of the Christian tradition.
    • The Cup of Life – Glass of wine in this ceremony is considered the cup of life, from which partners share wine. Wine, being both bitter and sweet, symbolically stands for the twofold nature of life which the couple will face together.
    • Growth – As a tree, a marriage needs dedication and effort in order to grow. As a part of this symbolic ceremony, a couple plants a tree or a plant. Each species carries a unique symbolism which is explained during the act.
    • Hands in a “Knot” – Handfasting ceremony is a part of the ancient Celtic tradition which entails tying a knot around the couple’s hands as a symbolic manifestation of their union. Wedding attendants may participate in the ceremony by passing the cord while uttering blessings and words of wisdom for the couple.
    • Exchanging Roses – Partners who decide to incorporate the rose act into their ceremony exchange two red roses – well-known symbols of love. This act is usually performed after the couple had exchanged their vows and rings. The couple saves the roses and each of them picks a special spot to keep them in their home, as a reminder of this important day and their vows, even through hardships.

    Interfaith Wedding Ideas

    by admin
    No comments yet

Planning an Interfaith Wedding can be a bit, well… complicated. It’s difficult to find a good balance between both of your preferences, religious backgrounds, cultures, and anything else in between! Although we create Ketubahs, we’ve been around the Interfaith wedding industry for quite a while. Time and time again we see the same stress and confusion, but we find that it’s all made up in the extra details. After all, that’s where you can truly see the interests and style of a couple! So — here’s our top five ideas of how to incorporate your unique Interfaith relationship into your wedding day:

    1. Food! Food! Food!

Besides the awesome dancing and perhaps delicious wine, everyone knows it’s all about the food! Consider yourself lucky Interfaith couples because most likely you’ll have at least TWO different cultural backgrounds to pull from. Look into the significance behind some of your cultural dishes and get creative! There’s nothing quite like a delicious fusion dish to truly represent the beauty of love and marriage.

    2. Get COLORFUL

Still searching for “your” wedding colors? Often couples choose their theme based on what they love or what’s in style, but even something as simple as your wedding colors can hold a special religious and/or cultural significance.

    3. Lead the Way.

Create and write a directory explaining parts of your wedding! Sounds strange? Whether you’re choosing a more religious centered wedding, or something modern with subtle religious or cultural touches, having directories for each side of the family can be a nice way for everyone to be on the same page (literally!). And there’s something truly special about being able to fully understand and appreciate the beauty of diversity and it’s ability to come together over love and devotion.

    4. Picture Perfect

Put together a small video (or even picture board for the technologically challenged!) that highlight your life until meeting one another. Focus on not only the fun, crazy moments in life, but the significant or religious milestones as well. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words — and we couldn’t agree more!

    5. All in the Details…

And last, but not least — don’t forget about the small details! Weddings are made up of a lot of the bigger (and sometimes even boring) stuff like chair and table rentals. Take advantage of all the smaller things you can use to express your Interfaith relationship like table numbers or centerpieces.

Awesome Interfaith Ketubah: Keep It Simple!

    by admin
    No comments yet

We definitely don’t discriminate against any Ketubah designs, we love them all! Searching for the perfect Ketubah design can be really difficult, but let’s be honest — searching for the perfect Interfaith Ketubah can be SUPER tricky. Wanting something that honors the Ketubah tradition, without being too heavily Jewish (something that can represent both partners!), while also searching for a color palette or art style that you both absolutely love. I get tired just describing it…

If there’s one thing The Office (a favorite TV show within our team!) taught us, it’s the important of K.I.S.S. — Keep It Simple Stupid! Sometimes simple can just be best. Our team put together a gallery of our favorite minimal designs — Ketubahs that contain just enough design and color to truly represent and highlight the Ketubah tradition, while not taking away from the beauty of an Interfaith union.

The Surrounded By Color Ketubah is definitely one of our favorites — it’s bright, it’s colorful… could you possibly need anything else?! Take a look at the Full Gallery Here!

    by admin
    No comments yet

Here’s a little secret: not only are we OBSESSED with making and selling gorgeous Ketubah designs, but we also just love weddings in general (surprise, surprise!). We love getting to know all of our Interfaith couples, and getting a better idea of what their vision is for their Ketubah, and their wedding in general! For some Interfaith couples their Ketubah is more about their life and relationship — they’re looking for a work of art that tells a story. And for many, many couples, they want their Ketubah to not just tell a story, but to also incorporate into their wedding day.

In honor of our new Ketubah today (The Paper Cranes Ketubah), we decided to give our Interfaith couples, a few of our favorite wedding ideas to go along with this GORGEOUS new design. Wether one or both of you have Japenese heritage, or you simply love the Paper Crane look — these ideas will give you the perfect, fresh wedding inspiration!

    4. Of course no wedding would be complete without the classic Japenese tradition of a thousand papercranes… or if you want to make it more Jewish (and probably a little less work), you can make it eighteen! We love the idea of ditching the typical origami paper and making it a bit more modern with this bright and colorful translucent paper. Buy this Origami Paper here!

These cute paper crane studs are simple enough that they won’t upstage your dress, yet still stunning and dressy enough for any style wedding. by admin
    No comments yet

We love creating Interfaith Ketubahs — not only because we’re passionate about helping couples find their perfect Ketubah, but because there’s something truly beautiful about the blending of two cultures, beliefs, and lives. Whether there’s one couple who subscribes to the Jewish faith and their partner doesn’t or both partners subscribe to two different specific faiths, the ability to create a work of art that represents them both is truly exciting! Every so often (okay, probably on a weekly basis!), we come across Ketubahs that we really fall in love with. This week we’re excited to spot light The Dalecarlians of Love Ketubah — a Jewish Ketubah featuring Swedish folk art and the classic Swedish red horses:
